We at Elevate are so excited to be hosting Winter Conference this year, where we are all about
building confidence in talking to our friends about Jesus!

Spreading the news of the gospel is an awesome privilege we get to partake in as followers of Jesus,
but it isnt always easy! By taking a weekend to run a conference, we hope to have a lengthy amount
of time to engage in this issue over a series of talks, tribes, seminars, food, games and more.

We hope to see you there!

 

Open to anyone in years 6-12.

 

Friday July 1 (6:30pm9:30pm),
Saturday July 2 (9:00am9:30pm) and
Sunday July 3 (9:00am7:30pm).
Students will need to be picked up accordingly at the end of each night.

St James Turramurra

Location

We are meeting at our usual Elevate spot, 15 King St Turramurra in the St James Memorial Hall.

Saturday
In addition to the conference, students will spend some time Saturday afternoon playing
lawn bowls at Club Turramurra. The cost of the game has been factored into the cost of the
conference.


Sunday
The conference itself will formally end before lunchtime on Sunday. However as part of the
program, we are encouraging all tribes and their leaders grab lunch and spend the afternoon
together, before returning to St James to attend SNC (Sunday Night Church) which begins at
St James at 6:00pm.


Students will need to bring their own money to pay for Sunday lunch (we suggest ~$10 to
grab some hot chips!) Please contact Andrew Marrett if you require any more details about
this or for details on how to contact tribe leaders.


(Because these activities require transport, students will be transported by leaders, all of whom hold
a minimum Green P Plate license.)

Food

The cost of the conference covers the provision of three main meals (Friday dinner, Saturday lunch
and Saturday dinner), as well as snacks throughout the day. Please use the registration form to let us
know of any dietary requirements.


Cost
The cost of the weekend for families is $55 for one student, $50 for the second, and $45 for the third
+ student.

If cost is a barrier for you coming to conference then please get in touch and we may be able to provide discounts/sponsorship to help make it more manageable. Cost should never be a reason not to come to conference.

 

Leaders

Our team is amazing and are working hard to make this a great winter conference! All leaders attending will have current Working With Children Checks, as well as having completed Safe Ministry in line with the requirements of our wider church (Sydney Anglican Diocese). Leaders will never be in the company of students under-18 alone, but will be with other students or leaders.
