Well, another week has passed and we're well into the term. Recently, there has been a lot of hype about vampires, probably because of the new twilight book and the movie that is coming out soon to a cinema near you. Let me tell you something about vampires. Vampires, whether they be Edward Cullen or Count Dracula, they all hate the light and just can’t stand it. When they go into the light, it burns them and seethes into their skin. They hate the light. What's that got to do with us? A whole lot more than you'd think. Read on to find out more....
 
 
 
Once, we were full of darkness. It pretty bleak to be full of darkness. Like spiritual vampires we couldn’t stand it. Going out into the light hurt. A lot and we hated it. But things have changed. Dramatically. Now you aren’t full of darkness. Now you have light from the Lord. The light that is within you, the Holy Spirit produces what is good and right and true and it works to transform you to be more like Jesus.
 
 
 
 
What is it to live as children of light? Imitate God. Follow the example of Christ in everything you do. What does that actually look like? Something along lines: Do not gossip or tear down others. Do not cling to the things of this world or think of them as precious for in the scheme of things, they are worthless and count for nothing. Instead, be truly willing and happy to follow the path that God has set for you despite the plans and dreams that you have in your heart*. For that is what it is to say “May your will be done” and so, to understand what God wants you to do and to make the most of every opportunity in these dark days. Live then as children of light.
