Soooo.... Most of you would have just finished the 40 hour famine. Congrats to those who finished. To those who are yet to do it, good luck!. But whether you did or are gonna do  food, or furniture or technology or talking, when you were (or are) really yearning for what you were going without, think about how it felt. Now think about whether you are that "hungry" for God. Sometimes in the midst of all these other things, in the midst of all these distractions, its so easy to forget that we need God. Get an appetite for God.

Watched this movie the other night called "In the Shadow of the Moon."
Amazing documentry on the apollo missions and the men who piloted them. Though right at the end I got a surprise when two of the astronauts started talking about their faith and how going into space had given them a stronger perspective.

Went to Hillsong on wednesday for the young adults ministry which was awsome.
The guy giving the talk spoke about how our testimony is one of the most powerfull evangelism tools we can use, because others cannot refute it and people can see how God can change a life. He also spoke about how we should always have a defence for the hope we have in christ, referring to 1 Peter 3:15.

"15But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,"

Hey Guys!!! This year, once again we will be doing the 40 hr famine together to raise money for those less fortunate that ourselves! The 40 Hour Famine is one of Australia's biggest youth fundraising events. It's a chance to do something real: give up food or something else that really matters to you for 40 hours and raise funds for kids living in poverty overseas. This way we can experience a bit of what life's like for children who have to go without – every single day. The 40 Hour Famine weekend starts at 8pm on Friday 21 August and finishes at noon on Sunday 23 August. But if you can't do it that weekend it's fine to choose another date before 30 September. This year the funds raised in the 40 Hour Famine will support World Vision projects that are fighting the Global Food Crisis in Kenya and Cambodia where people are at risk of starvation. 40 Hour Famine funds will help to: provide emergency food aid provide sustainable agriculture and development programs increase reliable access to food and water reduce the effects of climate change by creating sustainable environments invest in agricultural education and development. Funds will also help to develop livelihoods through microenterprise development and training, and support World Vision's 40 Hour Famine Child Labour and Trafficking prevention projects in India. Remaining funds will provide emergency relief to poor countries around the world who are affected by the Global Food Crisis and other emergencies as they arise.
