We've just come back from Real Camp 2010. God did a lot of cool stuff. Just thought I'd briefly share some thoughts I had about camp and some of the stuff I learnt. Watching you guys go nuts praising God warmed my heart and brought a smile to my face. I  abslutely loved walking about and seeing everyone doing their quiet times spending time with God. it was beautiul listening to you building each other up and encouraging one another in the last session. Dont stop doing those things. Dont let it  be confined to camp. Continue to praise your hearts out. Continue to to do quiet times and dwell on God. Continue to encourage one another in love. It was great to see it so often on camp, and I cant wait to see even more of it as the year goes by. Keep it up elevate!  What were your favourite parts? Would love to hear about how you found it. Real Camp 2010: Lifted High is coming up soon. Get pumped for a hectic few days, being immersed in the word, praising our awesome God, learning more about worship, hanging with mates and some crazy fun. It's gonna go off like an alarm clock...but will be so much better. So, If you're coming, make sure you have everything you need. Once that's checked off the list, Be at St James at 6:30pm on Friday the 25th June. If you're late, you'll miss the bus and we'll miss not having you on camp. So, please don't be late. Be there at 6:30pm. Only three days to go. Fire up!!!!

Well, another week has passed and we're well into the term. Recently, there has been a lot of hype about vampires, probably because of the new twilight book and the movie that is coming out soon to a cinema near you. Let me tell you something about vampires. Vampires, whether they be Edward Cullen or Count Dracula, they all hate the light and just can’t stand it. When they go into the light, it burns them and seethes into their skin. They hate the light. What's that got to do with us? A whole lot more than you'd think. Read on to find out more....
 
 

Hey Elevators
Tonight is the tribal challenge(s). Dress in some crazy clothing and come prepared for some hectic fun. It's gonna be a rad nigh! We've got heaps in store for you! We haven't had tribal challenges for quite a while, but its a guarente that these ones are worth the wait. You wont be disappointed  :D

A while ago, in geography I learnt about mangroves. They’re pretty much everywhere you go. By the sea, around lakes and wharfs and even up at the shops… ok well maybe not up at the shops, but you get the idea. Mangroves are very common. But just because they’re common doesn’t mean they are any ordinary tree. You see, mangroves are very special. They are known for one thing: their roots. Their roots are both extensive and diverse and are so strong that it’s been said they can withstand tsunamis. What does that have to do with anything? Read on to find out more….

It's the second week of Elevate and it's a cracker! Im gonna jump into it. Midday TV constantly advertise products of all kinds of shapes and sizes. Most of the time, they start off by saying that you're in a bad situation and that they have something you need. If you're floors dirty, you need a swivel sweeper. If you use too many kinds of makeup, you need thin lizie. If you need to get fit you need the ab circle pro. In short we need something and they have it. Then comes the classic line, "And, there's more! If you call in the next 10 minutes, we'll offer you all this for stuff and throw in all these extras". It might sounds pretty corny, but that's a somewhat like Ephesians 2. The only difference is that Ephesians 2 is so much cooler (Read on for more) ....

Welcome back to a brand spanking new term! I hope your holidays were great! that you're ready to get back into the swing of things because this term we're gonna be showing you some ways to go deeper in your relationship with God. (Its an amazing coincidence, but DEEPER is also the title of the new term). (Read on for more!)
 
 

Well, to kick of March Mayhem, on the 19th of March at 7pm, We're gonna have a load of hectic crazy things going on just for you!. To start, there's gonna be an awesome talk and live music by the best musos on the north shore. They'll be going all night long and it'll be the best you've ever heard.  On top of that, we're even gonna ship in a vertical....erm I mean horizontal bungee. And there is gonna be even more. But we want to keep you guessing so, we're gonna release some more details by mid week. So stay tuned for more. Fire up! We wont disappoint. Make sure you come along. Be praying for your friends! Bring them with you coz we dont want anyone to miss out. It's gonna be one massively epic night!

Well, we're midway through march and the much anticipated "How great is our God" night is coming up faster than you can say "antidisestablishmentarianism". What is that you ask? Well, our favourite American preacher, Louie Giglio is flying in all the way from Russia just to speak just  to you guys.  Unbelieviable you say? Well, its happening, right here at St James on the 26th March at 7pm! Fire up and get pumped, coz its gonna be totally rad! The Black eyed Peas would say, its gonna be a good night, but, that is a serious understatement. You see, it's gonna be a great night! Why? Because our God is great! So, make sure you're there! It  will be awesome! Oh and dont forget to bring your friends to make it even better! As if you didnt need even more incentive to get on over here, know that if you even consider not coming, a hoarde of ninjas will come get you. Muaahahaha. Just kidding. But seriously.
