Jeff Buckley wrote a song called grace, (part of) it goes something like this "Rain in the fire, rain in the fire" its rad. Basically thats what grace is. We all know that we screw up. Everyone screws up. Some know they're screwed up, others just don't think about it for any number of reasons (they simply don't think about what they do or their character, or are just focussed on other stuff, like cash or women (or men), or whatever). Thats what grace is, thats what the death of Jesus bought, rain in the fire to all mankind.
So I'm supposed to be writing about how God is the creator, but I want to talk about how God is good, so i'll talk about that and then incorporate some of God the creator in there somewhere. Anyway, before I begin, some reading on this is the first book of C. S. Lewis's Mere Christianity (Yes I am plugging C.S. Lewis again) Im going to pitch this twice, read the first, and of your feeling extra brainy go for the second one too, I've tried to put paragraphs in but they don't always work on this site Pitch 1 Well first of all we need to come up with some definition of good.
So anyway, first blog post in a while.
How are we team? Holidays are here, Hungo's is loving the short shorts option this spring. So you guys have what 2 weeks of holidays. Some of you are at Footsteps and some just chillin, nice.
Anyway, what else is going on? I'm on uni holidays (only for a week) and I've been reading again. So far I've reread half of C. S. Lewis's Screwtape Letters and am also reading a dude named Saint Augustine's book Confessions. They're pretty cool. Both of the writers are nutters.
